The man, the myth, the legend. We owe alot to our dads. Whether they are full time working dads, stay at home dads, step dads, dads overseas, dads in heaven, or many more. Dads play a huge role in our lives, but too often we see the role of dad being downplayed in the media by dads getting made fun of and overlooked, which is hard because it is dad whose presence and example can literally make all the difference in the world in the life of their child. Not only does a dad make a difference in someone’s life, but he makes a difference in generations to come because from each father stems children, then grandchildren, then great-grandchildren, and so on. Each of his children is influenced by the actions of their own father. All it takes is the impact of one good man in the role of “dad” to impact the lives of future generations to come.
Matt and I have both had our dad’s, Gerald Iovino and Robert O’Connell, growing up and it impacted our lives so much. We realize this more now with having children and how we want to instill what our dads taught us. Our dads worked hard, gave us tough love, supported us, and helped us grow into the parents we are today.
